i wish for a kinder world

Dani su bez broja, imena i boja is how this one song goes. Days are without number, name, or color, and itโ€™s already October.

You know when you start feeling like the world is speeding ahead of you, and you try to keep up, so you donโ€™t lose your footing? I feel like that a lot, and so I tried to give myself a minute to pause.

Unfortunately, in the meantime, things happened, and in this way or that, they affected me. They are horrible and upsetting. Words fail me, as they often do, when Iโ€™m forced to confront something completely outside my comprehension or principles.

Again Iโ€™m reminded of peopleโ€™s insatiable hunger for sensation beyond reason, morality, or compassion.

I donโ€™t know how to approach this topic. Maybe the most sensible thing I could do is not to.

But just one quick message. If I may.

Lead with kindness. Weโ€™ve lost the art of sympathizing.

I think thatโ€™s all I want to say.

    1. Whenever I can! It’s not close to my home now. It’s the other river. It’s still pretty easy to get there, and I used to live in that town. Lovely promenade!
      Kindness, compassion, common sense…

    1. Thank you! Because of the sensitivity of the actual context that prompted me to write this, I couldn’t word my urge in sending the message out properly, but it’s not just a vague plea for more kindness. Kindness also involves empathy, accountability, fairness and compassion.

      1. Welcome! I agree! Kindness is a much deeper expression than most give it credit. The act of random kindness is preached often but rarely ever practiced. In reality the deterrent is the expectation of something in return. I wonder if it wasn’t preached people would actually do it more often because its actually human nature to be kind and there is a tendency to rebel if someone instructs another to be kind to others. Just a random thought lol

_If you focus on who you are not, you will lose focus on who you are. Your life has a beautiful blueprint from God’s Word. If you always think you need to be someone else you will never get to a level of knowing yourself and discovering your potential. You will always find someone better than you at something but you will never find anyone better than you at being you. There is nothing as interesting as being you. There are others who try to be others until they lose themselves in the process._

_You are a unique seed! The power of a seed is not in its size but in the quality of its product. Remember, the fruits come from the seed. Good things come from within, the seed germinates from within. For growth to be realized, it has to be from within you. If you are looking for greatness outside there, then you are looking at the wrong direction. When you discover the greatness inside of you, it will attract the greatness outside._

  2. We live in quite a kind world – actually, we think most people do, but they are often not aware of it.
