My brother keeps trying to shoo away a tiny butterfly on my right arm. He’s teasing me because I’m the first sibling to get a tattoo. For reference, we grew up in a strict household.
My tattoos are greenish already – I don’t really take care of them, or maybe they would change anyway. Most of them were done by apprentices, so the ink spilled, but that somehow made sense for me. It added to the story.
I have a tattoo of a phone number for my grandparents’ house. That was the only number I would’ve picked up and answered growing up. I hated talking on the phone! The number is no longer in use. Now I have it on my arm. I love that it’s on a visible spot, too, so I can always talk about my grandparents.
My dear beloved grandma drew a silly little drawing, as a joke, years ago, and that became the design for my next tattoo. I’m just waiting for summer to be over because I wouldn’t stand the heat while I heal a tattoo. It’ll go on my arm, that one, too.
Tattoos have always been the highest form of artistry and autonomy for me, also a bit of rebellion. It was beautiful, first of all, but it was also a way of saying: this is my body, this is who I am. That’s why tattoos in general are very important to me. It’s about our individual presence and choices within societal norms.
I mean, the meaning of tattooing shifted in different places through time. Opinions and practices change, but for me, today, it’s extremely important to know I can have that as my own, my personality, and my expression.

CONFESSIONS FOR TODAY
Monday, 24th August 2026
Today, 24th April 2026, I Confess and Declare that the Word of God has granted me direction, speed, inspiration, counsel, and wisdom. My spirit is constantly equipped, refreshed, and educated by the Word to produce excellence and manifest righteousness. I’ve been ushered into a life that is beyond the ordinary plane of natural perception. My mind is anointed to think excellent thoughts. Daily, I am inspired by the Word, to think on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. The Word is building my faith strong and exposing me to the realities of the Kingdom.
Hear Me, The eyes of my spirit are enlightened to see the right opportunities and I am well positioned to eat of the good of the land. I am full of might and ability of the Spirit. I am like a tree planted by the waters, that spreads out her roots by the river. I do not know when the heat comes. I am prosperous and triumphant always in Christ Jesus! Hallelujah!

This Month Of August, I am fashioned to be a blessing in the lives of many across the world through God’s Word. I live in God’s glory today and always, and I am impacting lives with the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ. I know what to do; I know when to do what to do; and I know how to do what to do, through the guidance and light that I have received from the Holy Spirit and the Word.I am making progress and winning every day, by the power of the Spirit which is at work in me mightily. Glory to God. Hallelujah!
Assuredly, I am living in the morning of my life and the Lord has made all grace to abound towards me. I am moving forward by the power of the Holy Ghost, making progress with giant strides, and waxing stronger every day, in health, prosperity, and success in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

🥹 my grandparents were that amazing that all of us grandkids felt like favorites 😂 they had so much love for us, literally out of a fairy tale. I can’t begin to express how loving and kind and amazing they were. We are so blessed! And yes, all my tattoos are carefully crafted according to a certain meaning. I’m very sentimental like that 😂

I don’t want to say something wrong or overstep any boundaries, because I don’t know your family dynamic, but grandparents definitely add a unique dynamic to the family (sometimes good, sometimes really bad, I know from experience). I was just lucky to have them specifically because they were pillars of peace in a turmoil of my life, so yeah… They were my mom’s parents, the other side isn’t so great, to say the least…

I remembered that my grandma pass away when I was seven and there were no unforgettable bonding yet, but it’s fine. I grew up with responsible parents. So glad you have great grandparents from mom’s side. A blessing to remember!

My mom had the same situation. Actually, her grandparents on both sides passed when she was very young, so whenever I ask about them, she can’t really share much from her memory, just the stories she heard. Also, my grandpa on my father’s side passed way before I was born, so I also don’t have any bonding to him.
